Our environmental NGOs have come together with proposals for a transformation to help farmers to rise to the challenge of sustainable farming and conservation, and to reward those who deliver the environmental benefits, that society values so highly. The environmental benefits society needs from farming are actually not always delivered. Agriculture can be a driver for both degradation and enhancement of natural resources.
Therefore, our aim is a full agronomical ecosystem that will include a direct unique data registry and marketplace that supports the transition towards sustainable agriworld.
The Biomass Innovation and Information Platform is a demonstration and knowledge sharing initiative to showcase best practice and innovations in land-based biomass feedstock production.
Our mission is to turn agricultural residues into valuable resources by focusing on the key areas of soil, water and additional revenue generating products. By transforming materials traditionally sent to landfill, lost in processing, left in the field or previously unrecoverable we will create a paradigm shift in agricultural practices, which will reduce costs and the impact on the environment. We will produce high-grade alternative growing media from residual agricultural material, conserve significant volumes of water, recover valuable elements and create sustainable biomass fibres.
